“Our goal,” emphasized provincial president Luis López, “is to preserve, promote, and highlight intangible cultural heritage, especially among students in cross-border educational centers, as well as to promote the incredible shared Galician-Portuguese cultural heritage by fostering its understanding and transmission to new generations.”

The Provincial Council of Pontevedra is thus collaborating with Ponte…nas ondas! in passing on this heritage to younger generations through a specific agreement aimed at revitalizing it. As part of this initiative, radio and intangible heritage workshops will be held in 10 educational centers across the province. All of them are “Ponte…nas ondas! model centers of good practices in intangible cultural heritage,” integrated into the network created by the Galician Ministry of Education.
Through this collaboration, the workshops will include one session focused on radio and podcast production and another on the dissemination of expressions of intangible cultural heritage and traditional music. They will begin next Monday, October 20, at CEIP de Petelos in Mos and continue in A Estrada (CEIP do Foxo and IES Losada Diéguez), Ponte Caldelas (IES Ponte Caldelas), Pontevedra (IES Sánchez Cantón), Salceda de Caselas (IES Pedras Rubias), Salvaterra de Miño (CEP Carlos Casares), Tui (IES Indalecio Tizón), and Vigo (IES Alexandre Bóveda and IES Valadares).
